A premier production fluid bed system capable of handling a wide variety of process

applications simply through the incorporation of the appropriate features. Possible processes as following:

Drying of products produced by conventional wet granulation processes e.g. high shear

mixer.

Top spray granulation of powders which are suitable in their characteristics for the use in a

fluid bed process.

Coating, including API layering and film coating for the development and production of

modified release products by use of our WURSTER bottom spray technology. The

WURSTER technology is capable of handling a wide variety of substrates including fine

particles, granules, pellets or micro tablets.

The FBC XꞏONETM fluid bed processors are based on a zone concept developed by

XERTECS and can be configured for both aqueous (water based) and organic solvent based

processes. All XꞏONETM fluid bed systems are designed to enable the customer’s

compliance with current GMP standards.

The XꞏONETM technology offers a number of advantages over conventional fluid beds:

The unique MOSTTM (patent pending) safety concept is the most advanced engineering

approach to 12 bar safety currently available. MOSTTM provides for complete containment ofa deflagration and does not require any predetermined breaking points to guarantee zero

mechanical deformations of the machine tower in case of an explosion. The unique MFCTM (Multi-Function-Column, patent pending) columns are the latest in enabling GMP compliance. The integration of utility lines, cabling and peripherals into the MFCTM columns provide a clean exterior design and set a new standard for GMP compliance.

XꞏONETM inflatable sealing system (patent pending) provides for complete 12 bar explosion pressure protection while operating with available plant compressed air pressure (3.5 to 4 bar). This advanced design provides for lower operating costs and significantly longer lifetime than competitive inflatable sealing systems.
