Unused 2002 Artisan Industries Horizontal R&D Thin Film Evaporator System, Model ProTherm 50.  Designed for rapid concentration of heat sensitive materials. High vacuum and low/high temperature operation for short residence time. Approximate surface area: 0.5 sq. ft (316SS electro polished). Capacity depends on the operating conditions and solvent involved but can evaporate at a maximum rate as high as 70 LPH (18.4 GPH) with hexane or 12 LPH (3.15 GPH) with water. Evaporation of up to 99% of the solvent can be achieved in a single pass. Shell: MAWP FV/50 PSIG at 365ºF, MDMT -20ºF at FV/50 PSIG. Jacket MAWP 150 PSIG at 365ºF, MDMT -20ºF at 150 PSIG. Equipped with a Leeson Explosion-Proof Motor: 1 HP, 1725 RPM, 115/208-230V, 12.8/6.4 FLA, 60 Hz. Sanitary tri-clamp connections. Rototherm ports: hot water in / out, feed in, bottoms out, solvent vapor out. Allow Products Corp stainless steel vessel: 130 PSI, 316L SS, S/N: 107500-014. Monticello Exchanger & Mfg. Co. shell and tube heat exchanger (built in 2000), shell rating 50 PSIG/full vacuum, tube rating 150 PSIG, USA. Utility connections: hot water in/out, nitrogen, vacuum, seal cooling water in/out.
